Does your child or teen LOVE to cook? This summer, we're celebrating our 10th year of super summer cooking camps! Our camps are tons of fun for budding young cooks who are ready to get out and have a good time in the kitchen. Camps are available for teens, tweens, and kids, ages 8-17 (completed 2nd-11th grades) running at a variety of times throughout the summer.

 

We focus on kitchen safety, learning to use kitchen equipment properly, and of course, how to make some great food!  We encourage participants to try everything we make and also have the kids lend a hand with clean-up so that they learn good kitchen habits.  Each camp participant will receive a personalized binder loaded with the recipes used in camp to take home at the end of the week.

Kid's Baking Extravaganza:Our most popular cooking camp, this 5-hour camp is going to include even more goodies this summer! Not only will each child bake and decorate a cake with fondant to take home on our last day, but throughout the week we'll be making cupcakes, pies, cookies, yeast doughs, and more! We'll even be making savory dishes each day for lunch too!  (Ages 8-11)

 

Advanced Techniques: This 5-hour super camp has been created for those teens confident in the kitchen and motivated to learn new skills and techniques, including new knife skills, more advanced cooking techniques, and more! This fast-moving camp will keep your teen interested and enthusiastic in the culinary arts while challenging them to push themselves to learn. (Ages 12-17)

 

Iron Chef: One of our most popular and exciting camps for teens, we focus on building solid cooking skills and technique through knife skills, working at the stove, and basic baking. We'll break into teams and finish our week for our semi-famous Iron Chef-style challenge, pitting great technique against the clock! (Ages 12-17)

 

French Bistro Kids & Teens: Ooh-la-la! We'll spend the week making crepes, chocolate ├ęclairs, and more! Each day will be a lesson in basic French cooking techniques, and will excite your child or teen to cook! The menus are fun and the food is awesome!! (Ages 8-11 & 12-17)

 

Kid's Snack Attack: Developed especially for kids in 2nd through 5th grades, we'll be making a wide variety of snacks, sweet, savory, and healthy! A fun camp with all new foods your child will want to create again and again! (Ages 8-11)

 

Teen Baking Boot Camp: Our most popular cooking camp, Baking Boot Camp Super Camp is going to include even more goodies this summer! Not only will each teen bake and decorate a cake with fondant to take home on our last day, but throughout the week we'll be making cupcakes, pies, cookies, yeast doughs, and more! We'll even be making savory dishes each day for lunch too!  (Ages 12-17)

 

Teen Restaurant Wars: Have a teen interested in seeing how a restaurant works? This brand new camp will work with teens to create a restaurant at The Kitchen Studio Cooking School, plan a menu, and execute two restaurant days where the entire class will take turns working both the front and back of the house (dining room and kitchen) to cook and present a meal to parents! Exciting, fun, and ready for your favorite young chef!

 

Mini Bake-A-Rama: Our most popular cooking camp, in a shorter 3-day format, this 5-hour camp is going to include even more goodies this summer! Not only will each child bake and decorate a cake with fondant to take home on our last day, but throughout the camp we'll be making cupcakes, pies, cookies, yeast doughs, and more! We'll even be making savory dishes each day for lunch too! (Ages 8-13, for kids who have completed 2nd through 7th grades.) Camp runs daily from 9a-2p on August 17, 18, & 19.

 

 

Registration: Please visit our Class Calendar page on our website to register. You can also call at 301-663-6442 to register by phone. All camps are limited to 12 participants and include one chef/instructor and one Kitchen Assistant. All camps are filled on a first come, first served basis and require a minimum of 6 campers. Camps may be canceled due to under-enrollment. In the event a camp is canceled, a full refund will be issued. Also, please note our allergy policy prior to registration.

Special Needs: Please let us know of any special needs your child at the time of registration.

 

Cancelation Policy: All cancellations must be made at least one calendar month before the first day of your child’s camp. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. No refunds, credits, or camp rescheduling will be allowed for cancellations made after this time. Cancellations made at least one month prior to the camp will be refunded minus a $75 cancellation fee.
